Mit dem Forum Digitalisierung richtet das HIS-Institut für Hochschulentwicklung e. V. (HIS-HE) den Blick auf eine der zentralen Gestaltungsaufgaben des Hochschulsystems: die digitale Transformation. Universitäten wie auch Hochschulen für Angewandte Wissenschaften stehen vor grundlegenden Fragen – strategischer wie technischer Natur: Wie lässt sich der digitale Wandel souverän gestalten? Wie gelingt Handlungsfähigkeit in einer zunehmend vernetzten Hochschullandschaft? Und was können deutsche Hochschulen von Entwicklungen in anderen europäischen Ländern lernen?

Das Forum Digitalisierung schafft einen Raum für Austausch, Reflexion und konkrete Impulse. Drei Themenfelder stehen im Mittelpunkt: Kooperation und Netzwerke, IT- und Cybersicherheit sowie Digitale Souveränität. Anhand von Beispielen aus Deutschland und Europa werden Perspektiven erweitert – und voneinander gelernt. Einen empirischen Rahmen für die gemeinsame Diskussion bildet die aktuelle HIS-HE-Studie zum Stand der Digitalisierung an Hochschulen im deutschsprachigen Raum.

Die Veranstaltung richtet sich insbesondere an Hochschulleitungen, CIOs sowie IT- und Rechenzentrumsleitungen an der Schnittstelle von strategischer Steuerung und technischer Umsetzung.

With its Digitalisation Forum, the HIS Institute for Higher Education Development (HIS-HE) is focusing on one of the key challenges facing the higher education system: digital transformation. Universities and universities of applied sciences alike are facing fundamental questions – both strategic and technical in nature: How can we confidently shape the digital transformation? How can we ensure our ability to act effectively in an increasingly interconnected higher education landscape? And what can German universities learn from developments in other European countries?

The Digitalisation Forum provides a space for discussion, reflection and practical ideas. It focuses on three key areas: cooperation and networking, IT and cyber security, and digital sovereignty. Drawing on examples from Germany and Europe, participants broaden their perspectives and learn from one another. The recent HIS-HE study on the state of digitalisation at universities in German-speaking countries provides an empirical framework for the joint discussion. The event is aimed in particular at university management, CIOs, and IT and data centre managers operating at the interface between strategic management and technical implementation.
